For Immediate Release

June 13, 2006 - Convergent Media Network (CMN) has been retained by The Butchart Gardens to design and build a new organization website that will reflect the beauty of The Butchart Gardens to the world. The web platform comprehensively supports all of the company's sales and administration and, in addition to maintaining the features and content of the existing Butchart Gardens website, CMN's new redesign will deliver visitor interactions, with a virtual garden of creative site areas, and much broader business functionality for customer relationship management and e-commerce.

To date, CMN has provided The Butchart Gardens with the advanced 1to1 CommerceTM shopping cart solution for their gift store, along with website hosting. For December 2006, CMN will create a much larger web presence that will support comprehensive marketing and administration based on two of CMN's leading software platforms, CRM3TM and MRM3TM.

"Our aim is to create an award-winning portal that not only reflects the beauty of the gardens and creates a virtual experience for the site visitors, but one that also provides The Butchart Gardens with enterprise-level functionality in managing their visitor relationships, both online and offline as they experience the treasure of the gardens personally," says Tim Vasko, Chief Strategy Officer at CMN. "In our design process, we'll be applying CMN's proprietary BIPED analysis to ensure that the portal and the behind-the-scenes architecture aptly reflects and enhances the business processes that are already working successfully at The Butchart Gardens."

Some of the additional features in CMN's redesign will include a content management system, an interactive map of the gardens, a historical timeline of the gardens, an image gallery/virtual tour, and point-of-sale system integration for reservations.

Located 21 kilometres north of Victoria, BC on Vancouver Island, The Butchart Gardens attracts thousands of visitors from around the world each year who come to enjoy the fifty-five acres of internationally-renowned floral display. Established in 1904, The Butchart Gardens was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 2004.

CMN provides systems consulting and software development to assist clients in a broad variety of market sectors.
